Mom was on to something. Greens good for your health, and manners are good for business. Not only manners, but sincere gratitude.
Everyone likes to feel appreciated, and learn that they’ve added value in some way. But in today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to simply sign an email with an oh-so-meaningful “Thanks” in your template signature line. Big deal. That’s about as heartfelt as a fax number.
What ever happened to the dedicated thank you note? No, you don’t have to go track down an envelope and stamp, but even sending an email specifically (and only) to thank someone for their efforts will go a long way to achieving more, expanding your network, and opening doors.
Thanks, Mom!
