The New “New”

By September 6, 2011Career, Leadership

Remember what it’s like to be a freshman – finding your new classrooms, getting new teachers, meeting new friends? You might remember looking at the senior class and admiring their smooth confidence and how they seem to have it all figured out (whereas you couldn’t even remember where your locker is).

Starting something new is uncomfortable. Instead of feeling like a freshman, focus on the fact that it’s NEW. And soon you can add IMPROVED! Because you’re shaking things up by doing something new in order to become improved.

Yes, it can be a little overwhelming; but it’s a great time to take advantage of having that clean slate and the room you have  for fresh ideas.

Enjoy your beginning, take it all in, look for inspiration, and see where you can add value with your uncluttered perspective.
