Trying too hard can yield the same results as not trying at all. Think of mountain climbers. Even with a little adrenaline at the outset of a group climb, they don’t rush to the summit full speed ahead. They reach certain milestones, set up camp, and let their bodies acclimate to the oxygen found at increased elevations.
Not to be all “slow and steady wins the race,” but in today’s fast-paced world, you may not see the results you hope for when you’re trying too hard. Slow down, set up camp, look at where you are, and pause to catch your breath. Trust that you’ll get to the summit when the time is right.
