CEOs are not in their roles because they are found to be faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, or able to leap tall buildings in a single bound. In other words, they don’t rise to the top because they’re flawless.
While they do tend to be fearless and innovative, they’ve often made mistakes. A TON of mistakes. HUGE mistakes. Sounds dreadful, right?
We’ve all been there. The day you just want to bury your head under the pillow and check into the witness protection program. But the truth is, you really earn the S on your chest when you are able to take those mistakes (read: experiences) and translate them into an evolutionary way to manage people, product, or process.
Ready to take some risks? Go out into the world seeking your ideas, and watch yourself soar!
(If you trip on your cape the first few times, I promise to look the other way.)
